Visual Components Training

The complete Visual Components training is composed of three modules, held throughout the year at various locations : online, at our offices or directly at the customer site.

Each course has a 50-50% balance between theory and practical exercises.

Visual Components Essentials

Visual Components Essentials Training familiarizes new users with the Visual Components environment and helps on create, simulate and analyze 3D layout starting from the standard eCat smart Components.

Covered topics :

  • eCatalog – discovering the available components catalog.
  • 3D Layout Creation – drag and drop smart components, connections and parameter configuration.
  • Process Modeler – products, process, and material flow rule definition in the 3D Layout.
  • Basic Robotics – robot teaching and programming, usages of external axis, positioners and tools; cycle time estimation, reachability and collision detection.
  • Simulation Statistics – creation and visualization of simulation data with the statistics dashboard.
  • Simulation and output – creation of 3D and 2D deliverables (3D PDF, animations VCAX, 3D export, avi and dwg), 3D Layout rendering and photo realistic video creation.

At the end of Visual Components Essentials training, the participants are expected to become autonomous in creating 3D Layout modeling material flow and general processes and should be able to use analyze and create simulation deliverables.

Visual Components Essential is a 2 days training who doesn’t have any user prerequisite

Visual Components Modeling

Visual Components Modeling Training introduces more advanced concepts, allowing the user to create own components from existing eCAt, from scratch and importing and manipulating 3D CAD data.

Covered topics :

  • Component creation – CAD import, links definition and geometry manipulation.
  • Component behaviors –  using of properties and behavior’s atoms.
  • Python Script – using of python to model from simple to complex component’s be behavior.
  • Physics – learn basics of Visual Components tools to model component’s dynamic behaviors.
  • Virtual Commissioning – PLC connectivity using basic protocols (OPC-UA).

At the end of Visual Components Modeling, the participants are expected to be able to create their own components and manage custom eCatalogs.

Visual Components Modeling is a 3 days training addressed to whom have already completed Visual Components Essentials.

Visual Components Advanced

Visual Components Advanced improve the training of the attendees with on specific topics

Visual Components Advanced training is for Visual Components Premium users looking to get even more speed, power, and customization out of their 3D layout and smart components.

Covered topics :

  • Advanced Robotics – automatic 3D features recognition, robot’ s path creation robot teaching, paint process visualization.
  • VRC connectivity – Universal Robot and Stäubli plug-in connection with virtual controller.
  • Advanced Virtual Commissioning – Siemens S7, Simit and WinMod interfaces.
  • VC Environment customization – add-ons and plugins, either written in Python of C#
  • Advanced Python – coding
  • Advanced Physics – cable and physics conveyor modeling.
  • User Robot Creation – from CAD import up to inverse kinematics definition.

Visual Components Advanced is typically a 2 days training addressed to users who have already completed Visual Components Modeling.
